I decided to dive into the world of typography based on inspiration from the Swedish typography legend Karl-Erik Forsberg’s work and philosophy around typography and design.

I am examining the function of letters. How far can you deconstruct a letter before it becomes incomprehensible? What makes a letter a letter? how does the transition from function to form look?
For this experimental project I am using Berling Antiqua, created by Karl-Erik Forsberg, which has gotten international exposure and is known all over the world.
The point of using such a well known and legible typeface is to enhance the possibility to see a clear contrast between the original legible typeface and the distorted illegible one.
